Team challenge Results: 24th May 2009

What a great day for Surfcast Wales, to have the country’s top casters with us to represent their respective clubs in good humoured competition , we thank you all for coming and making it one of the most memorable days in the clubs history.

The competition was a very close run affair with the lead changing constantly throughout nearly as much as the light breeze, but eventually Westward C.C (The dream Team) won out with a superb display from their whole team 3 of which are members of the magical 300 yard club. Sussex C.C piped at the post after their team put up a monumental effort to secure their second place form Surfcast Wales A in third place who although on home ground couldn’t take advantage never the less a very creditable effort, 3 meters, yes just 3 meters behind were Suffolk C.C keeping SCW very honest in fourth place, a close run thing indeed.
The individual trophy went to the casting machine that is Andy Copping with a phenomenal cast of 237.05.

The fully built Cono-Flex Zest kindly donated by Cono-flex was won by “the painted one” Steve Boyt
