Results for 26th April 2009

Not a bad day at all weather wise with a light south westerly breeze 5 - 6 mph, sunshine and a few showers wind direction varying slightly towards the afternoon around 3 - 4 mph.
Casting is well on the up at Surfcast Wales with another cracking turnout of 41 competitors with some new faces joining up to have a go. It was great to see more new junior members joining and smashing those leads to new pb's very impressive lads.
Top of the tree this month was the Welsh Spiderman Christian Brayley blasting his way to 248 meters closely followed by the 2 " Devon destroyers" Andy Copping with a superb chuck of 245 meter and Paul Baker with cracking cast of 241 meters.
Those hitting personal bests this month were Mike Skelly ,Mike Dagnell, D Trott, Brian Sillman, D Seymour, Liam Ford (jr), Mark Jones, Nigel Gubb, Garwyn Shortman jr and 6 year old Kyle Yates who was fantastic all day.As last month to get such good distances in not the best of conditions is a terrific achievement and they should all be very proud of themselves. It's a great testament that our new development coach Glyn Baldwin is right on the money brining these guys forward which can only be good for the sport in the future.
