Results for 28th December 2008

Lovely sunny winter morning for our charismas comp just a little on the cold side in the 10 - 12 mph easterly winds.
We had a good turn out with 30 + casters and spectators there to enjoy a day's casting and good friendly fun. Congratulations to John Gravell for winning the star prize in the raffle.

Phil Jones was again top of the pile this month hitting a superb cast on the 125g of 244 meters next came Adam Nail smashing the 150g to 235 meters and in third place was Joe Dowling right behind with a cracking hit on the 150g of 230 meters .

We were again very pleased to see more new faces turning up to make the most of the experience on offer to help improve their distances and above all to cast in a controlled safe manner .We had 8 personal bests this month Andi Yates making a well come return to casting hit a very respectable 212 meters on the 150g. Mike Dagnell pushed his PB forward on 2 leads 208 on the 175g and 210 on the 150g .Matthew Thomas continued to improve with a cast of 283 meters ,Kevin Shortman hit a pb of 205 on the 150g and again our star junior member Garwyn Shortman pushed the welsh 125g record to 138.20 well done to all keep up the good work guys.
