Results for 31st January 2010

A glorious crisp January morning greeted us at the home of welsh tournament casting, the wind was forecast to stay westerly and so it did increasing to 7 - 8 mph around midday then dropping back off .
We had a fantastic turnout, in all 34 casters took to the oche to cast those leads as far away from them as possible in our first event of 2010.
We had competitors from as far afield as Cornwall and the northwest with Jody Lemm making his presents felt from the outset consistently smashing his leads to the back of the court eventually winning the day with an awesome 237m . First runner up was Nigel Davies showing why he's one of the top casters in Wales with a tremendous cast of 229m second runner up was Surfcast Wales regular Mike Dagnall again holding form producing an impressive 226m.
Garwyn Shortman progressively increased his PB's on 2 leads with a best of 169m a truly terrific achievement for a junior and one to look out for. M Prichard , Mark Jones and W Irvin also hitting personal best in no ideal conditions a very well-done to you all.

We were again in the field opposite our usual field and would like to remind every one that we will not be casting in the old field for the foreseeable future.
