Spring finally arrived at the home of Welsh tournament casting treating us to a beautiful sunny day with very light variable winds for most of the morning, turning down the court for the last few hours with a light westerly breeze.In pole position this month was Welsh team member Nigel Davies continuing with his run of good form with a cracking cast
on the 125g of 231 Meters narrowly beating our casting coach Glyn Baldwin into second spot with a fine chuck of 230 Meters with the 150g lead and in third place was another one of the Welsh team Wayne Saunders with a respectable cast on the 125g of 221 Meters.
We had a cracking turnout once again with 28 casters 4 of which were new members plenty of talent on show future
of casting in Wale. Personal bests this month were Kevin Shortman with 196M on the 100g and 208M on the 125g, Mathew Thomas with 209M on the 150g, Brian Silverman with 195M on the 150g, Ian Coyne with 183M on the 150g,Roger Davies with 182M on the 150g and Mark Jones with 175M also on the 150g to get such distances in not the best of conditions is a fantastic achievement and they should be very proud of themselves.It was great to see top mach angler Julian Shambrook brushing up on his casting and finally catching a fine specimenof 150g on the 204 line.
